Furloughed? Here are some tips to help!

With the Government shut down reaching it’s 30th consecutive day, a lot of the government workers are now being forced to go to food banks, start their own businesses and do whatever it takes to make ends meet.

If you have been affected by this, please find information below of the multiple companies out there that are willing to help. I will update and add more as they become known to me.

USAA – USAA is assisting government employees. Find out more information here. you can also contact them directly via 210-531-USAA (8722)800-531-USAA (8722) or our mobile shortcut, #8722.

Navy Federal Credit Union – Find out information here. “We’re here to help our members during periods of financial difficulty. If your pay is disrupted, but you don’t meet the eligibility requirements, we recommend you visit a branch or contact us at 1-888-842-6328 to discuss your situation with one of our Member Service Representatives.”

PayPal – Is offering help to employees. They are offering interest free loan, find out more information here. Call them a 1-888-221-1161.

Most of the major mortgage companies are offering deferment of up to 3 months. Please call your respective company to see if they are able to assist.

Also, please check locally with food pantry’s, churches, and charities to see if they are offering anything. A lot of local animal rescues are also offering pet food and services to furloughed employees for their furbabies.

California will offer unemployment benefits to furloughed employees. 

New Mexico waves unemployment requirements to furloughed employees.

Furloughed employees are fed at these local Phoenix restaurants.
